Kate Middleton’s style more popular than Cheryl Cole’s

British women want to own Kate Middleton's wardrobe, according to new research published this week.

The results come as little surprise given the throngs of fashion-forward outfits the new Duchess of Cambridge has sported in recent months but we were intrigued to see that Middleton's style is favoured over Cheryl Cole's. The former X Factor judge only managed to bag 22% of the 1,000 women surveyed, compared to Kate's 55%, claims a report conducted by Kenco Millicano.

Indeed, it seems that it's not only the Brits who've got a soft spot for Middleton's threads. When Sarah Jessica Parker took over the GLAMOUR.COM Twitter this week, the former Sex And The City actress spoke of her admiration for the Duchess of Cambridge, citing Brit model Kate Moss as another style inspiration as well.

The report by Kenco Millicano also found that, rather depressingly, 79% of women surveyed were hoarding clothes that they'd bought years ago, in the hope that one day they would wear them again. On a brighter note, the findings revealed that 75% of women buy products that are ethically sourced.
