Sam Faiers has confirmed that she has split up with Joey Essex.
Speaking for the first time about the break up, The Only Way Is Essex star said that the spark between them just went out.
In her new column for Star magazine, she wrote: "I was mothering Joey - I just need space from him. He's gorgeous but we spent so much time together so quickly that the spark went out just as fast."
However, she went on to hint that there could be reconciliation on the cards. "I reckon we could get it back."
Faiers also explained that she didn't like the fact that Joey put her needs before his own all the time.
"He was always more concerned about me than himself, and - although it is nice to be put first - I didn't want it to be like that," she explained.
She also added that the pressure of maintaining a relationship in the public eye was difficult to cope with.
"I honestly think we've all had so much pressure put on us," she admitted. "It's amazing for the show - but we are all under so much pressure and it's too much for our relationships."
Faiers also lashed out at comparisons that have been drawn between the relationship she had with Joey and Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright's relationship.
She said: "This is our real life. It isn't fake and it isn't publicity. Lauren and Mark are always out to prove a point - I and Joey aren't like that.
"We have always kept it private."
